Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 108 - Sparkle

Hi Everyone

The weekend is upon us yet again which brings us even closer to Christmas!  Where has this year gone - it seems to have disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Enough ramblings of a mad woman - let's get down to business and straight onto this week's challenge at Totally Gorjuss.

This week the theme for the challenge is "Sparkle" - so come on people crack open your glitter and all things sparkly and get your entries posted to be in with a chance to win.  This weeks most fabulous sponsor is Wee Stamps - my oh my just check out their stamps - they are absolutely out of this world!

Here is the card that I created:

Oh my goodness, that bunny is just so cute.

The recipe for my card is:

Digi Papers:  Basic Grey "Dasher"
Poinsettias; Spacers; Rhinestones & German Glass Glitter:  The Hobby House
Circular Stamp:  "Cats Life Press" from Happy Daze

The image has bee coloured with Copics:

Bunny:  N4 N3 N2 N1 N0 R20 R30
Hat & Ribbons:  R39 R29 R27 R24
Green Present:  G28 YG67 YG63
Blue Present:  B01 B00 B000
Sledge:  E37 E35 E34 C3 C2 C1 C0
Shading:  W1 W0 Blender Pen

For the snow underneath the sledge I have used Liquid Applique covered in Glamour Dust.
As usual I have edged everything in Distress Ink and this one is called "Tumbled Glass"

Here is a close-up of the poinsettia covered in German Glass Glitter with a little bit of Glamour Dust thrown in for good measure:

And finally here is the inside of the card patiently awaiting its verse:

So that's it from me for now - I'm going into hospital on Monday to have a little operation on my wrist so I will be like a whirling dervish this weekend trying to get as many cards made as possible before I go out of action for a week.  Make sure you go and check out what all the fabulous DT ladies at Totally Gorjuss have created for the challenge - awesome as always.

Thank you for all your lovely comments - they are all very much appreciated.

Hope  you have a fabby weekend whatever you may be doing.

See ya later.

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 107 - Swirly Whirly

Hi Y'all

I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.

Thanks so much for all your fabulous entries on last week's Totally Gorjuss challenge which was Christmas Traditions; there were over 200 beautiful creations for us all to admire!

So, without further ado, onto this week's challenge:

This week at Totally Gorjuss we want to see all your creations with some swirls and whirls on it.  Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp so make sure you hop on over to the Totally Gorjuss blog to see all the different and fabulous creations the DT ladies have made and get your entry in for a chance to win a voucher to spend in the Simon Says Stamp store.

Now I created a card that is something totally different for me - I have managed to break away from my beloved pens (even if I did break out in a sweat - lol) and decided to do a little paper piecing and wanted to keep my card really simple, so here is what I have created:

See, I told ya - real simple but quite effective I think.

I am so sorry about the horrible picture, these darker days are just rubbish for taking pictures and I hate using my light tent but can see that I'm gonna have to get it out - YUK!

So onto the short, but sweet recipe for my card:

Digi Stamp:  Pink Petticoat "Simply Delightful"
Papers:  Pink Petticoat "Doodle Swirls"
Ribbon:  From My Stash
Adhesive Pearls:  The Hobby House

As normal, I have copied the layout through to the inside of the card:

And that's it!  I love Pink Petticoat papers and images, and you get so, so much for your money - a proper bargain!

So that's it from me for the weekend - I'm off to watch the new Twilight Breaking Dawn film with my friend this morning - can't wait - it seems to have taken ages for it finally to hit the big screen.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you for all your lovely comments.

Cheerio for now.

As per usual I have used a distress ink around all the papers and pictures which was Vintage Photo.

Phew - I told you there were a lot of colours for just a relatively straight forward picture.

As per usual I have followed the sketch through to the inside:

Apologies for the poor quality pictures it's just so dark on a night when I get home - YUK.  Can you believe there is only 6 weeks left until Christmas - :oO - I need to get my skates on for both Christmas shopping and for making my Christmas cards!

So that's all from me for today - I really, really, really, really need to get some Christmas cards made this weekend - so I hope you all have a fab Saturday and Sunday and I look forward to seeing what you have made.

Take care and ta-ra for now.
